Initial adult acupuncture appointment - 90 minutes
Upon your arrival for your first Acupuncture appointment, you will be required to fill out a few forms. You can also print them at your convenience ahead of time and bring them completed to your appointment. You can find them here.
During the first half of your appointment, we will discuss your health and medical history and specific concerns. As acupuncture treats the whole being, we will discuss all aspects of your life, so I can design the most appropriate treatment plan.
After the initial intake, I will create your birth chart based upon the Chinese calendar to better understand your constitutional tendencies, the pathogenesis, and the unique way of treating you. I will take your pulse and look at your tongue to form an accurate Chinses medicine diagnosis. Once I have all the information, we will discuss your expectations and my recommendations for the most effective treatment plan.
Follow up adult acupuncture - 60 minutes
When you come in for your follow-up appointment, we will discuss changes that have occurred since your last treatment and how things are evolving. I will check the pulses again, and Acupuncture will be done.
At times, if indicated and the needles are not in the way, I will also perform Reiki or CST while you are resting with the needles. This is not part of Chinese medicine or the actual acupuncture service but an addition I provide to patients; it goes along with and enhances the acupuncture treatment. This complementary service is provided at no additional cost.
Qigong lessons are offered through recorded online courses or via Zoom application. Private classes are customized according to the individual`s skill level.
The participant will be required to wear comfortable clothes and have enough space for some movement.
The session starts with 10 minutes of light warm-up, followed by the Qigong Flow lesson, and is concluded by light stretching.
Have the technology ready (make sure the screen is big enough for you to easily follow my instructions) and allow roughly 75 minutes for the session.
The first meeting may take longer, as I will guide you through the set-up process.
A Healing Bodywork treatment combines all my training from Chinese medicine, Reiki, massage, Shiatsu, and CST into a 60- or 90-minute session. I integrate the most appropriate modalities and techniques for the ultimate purpose of your healing.
As a trained and certified practitioner in various manual therapies, I create individualized treatments; accordingly, you can expect each session to vary. For example, one session might include more massage techniques, while another might utilize more CST.
For your comfort during your treatment, you will remain completely covered with sheets and blankets, exposing only the area receiving therapy. You will be undressed to your comfort level if oils or lotions are used; otherwise, you will remain clothed. Typically, you will begin your Healing Bodywork treatment face down and end on your back.
The treatments are very relaxing, combining Yin and Yang, dynamic and soft. This unique service is addressing your bodily pains and aches from a systemic point of view as well as structural - muscular. What it means is that I will physically work on areas of pain or tension with direct contact but also work on the area of the body that is energetically responsible for the injury or discomfort.
For example, for a shoulder injury, I might work on muscles and soft tissue surrounding the shoulder but also work on your abdomen or other muscles and areas that connect to the shoulder structurally or energetically. I might use firm pressure some of the time and up to the lightest touch or even just hovering with hands over your body at the same treatment.
Bach Flower Remedies
I have completed the Bach International Education practitioner Program and offering Bach Flower consultations. Through conversation, and based on your concerns and expressed life challenges, a uniquely tailored Bach Flower remedy will be chosen by you along with my guidance.
This service is available as a separate service or as additional service to Acupuncture or Bodywork patients.
As a stand alone service, or for Bodywork patients (who are not active acupuncture patients ) initial consult will be 60 minutes in length.
As an addition to the Acupuncture service, the initial consult will be additional 30 minutes to the acupuncture appointment.
